Pyramid of Learning Manual

The Pyramid of Learning is a framework used by the Akron Public Schools to ensure ALL students receive the academic interventions and behavioral supports needed to be successful within the school setting.

The Pyramid of Learning framework provides three tiers or levels of support (academic and behavioral) designed to support a wide range of learner needs.  Using district and state testing data, students are identified as needing "targeted" small group interventions, "intensive" individual interventions, and enrichment opportunities.  Students receiving intervention supports are monitored frequently by the Intervention Assistance Team to make certain students are making appropriate growth within the intervention programs. 

Using the Pyramid of Learning framework we will provide a system of support for improving the performance of ALL learners.
