The Office of Testing, Research and Evaluation visualizes an educational environment that assists in transforming the school system into one that assures continuous improvement in educational results and delivery of services.

BELIEF STATEMENTS

We believe that:

  • Data must drive decision-making.
  • The entire school/community must be involved in the assessment process.
  • All stakeholders must become comfortable with data analysis.
  • The data must be owned by all stakeholders.

 

GOAL STATEMENTS

We will:

  • Promote critical analysis and use of data in decision-making processes.
  • Provide leadership in examining current data profiles in the district.
  • Help identify areas in need of improvement.

 

STRATEGIES

We will:

  • Analyze, report and disseminate assessment data.
  • Facilitate test data management.
  • Provide technical support to all educators, upon request, in the development of continuous improvement plans and program evaluation.
  • Coordinate research activities involving the district.
