The Records Department keeps all old school records (transcripts) for students from Akron Public Schools. The Office is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A former student's signature is required, and there is a $1 fee per transcript. Copies may be obtained from the Administration Building (Room 204), 70 N Broadway, Akron, Ohio, or by sending a note requesting a transcript, listing name (including maiden name), date of birth, school, and year of graduation or withdrawal. The Records Department also stores and maintains all active and inactive employee files. It processes public records requests after first removing Social Security numbers, home addresses, personal telephone numbers, birth dates and health information. The fees are $.05 per page for single-sided copies and $.10 per page for double-sided copies.
