OFFICE SUPPORT PERSONNEL are hired through Civil Service. A test is required for ALL positions, including temporary or substitute employment. You must file your application at Civil Service. EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS are hired through the Office of Support Personnel. You may apply in person at 70 N. Broadway, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. For information, call 330-761-2915.

SCHO0L HEALTH AIDES are hired through Children's Hospital Health Services, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308. For information call Michele Wilmoth at 330-543-3530.

MAINTENANCE (CARPENTER, HARDWARE REPAIR, ELECTRICIAN, PAINTER, PLUMBER, HVAC TECHNICIAN, AUDIO-VISUAL REPAIR), BUILDINGS (CUSTODIAL), MECHANIC, WAREHOUSE AND GROUNDS personnel are hired through Civil Service. Applications are filed at Civil Service. You MUST specify Akron Board of Education on your application, and you must renew your application every six months to keep it active. If you are applying for more than one position, fill out a separate application for each position. CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES EMPLOYEES are hired through the Child Nutrition Services Office at 550 E. North Street. For information, call the Child Nutrition Services Office at 330.761.1335.
