Akron Public Schools ID Badges
Please remember to wear your Akron Public Schools ID badge in a visible place at all times while on district property. With heightened concerns about school security following the Sandy Hook shootings in Connecticut, this is one more way we can help students and staff feel comfortable. Making sure we know who is on APS property at all times is part of our overall district safety plan. When emergencies happen, first responders appreciate being able to identify school personnel quickly and easily. If you see someone in a building without an APS ID or visitor badge, please ask why they are visiting and direct them to the school office to sign in and get a visitor badge. Let’s all work together to make sure our buildings are safe and secure. If you have lost your ID, or have questions, please contact Rob Boxler at rboxler@akron.k12.oh.us or 330.761.2977.
