APS-15 TV is a non-profit broadcast community service of Akron Public Schools. Original Akron Public Schools programming is the primary content with supplements from other educational sources. APS-15 TV is committed to broadcasting high-quality, educational, entertaining and informational television programs relevant to Akron Public Schools and the Akron community.

Local Broadcasting & Global Reach

APS-15 TV broadcasts on Time Warner Cable channel 15, Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Programming outside of those times is not the responsibility of Akron Public Schools. APS-15 TV can be seen by over 60 percent of the Akron community, a potential audience of more than 118,000 Time Warner Cable subscribers. Teachers, parents, students and community leaders all watch the station; and it is "cable-ready" for broadcast in all Akron public schools.

Many original APS programs are currently available to anyone on the Internet. Programs can be seen on demand in the "Videos" section of this website, on the APS-15 TV "Watch Online" page and on the Akron Public Schools YouTube^TM channel. Some original APS programs are also shown in other broadcast markets, such as Ask Gilby^®, which airs on more than 20 stations across the country.

*APS-15 TV is committed to producing high-quality programming for the Akron community. The Akron Public Schools original educational program "Ask Gilby^®" was honored for excellence by the Parent's Choice Foundation as an approved, high-quality educational program for preschool children. "Ask Gilby^®" was nominated in 2009 as the best regional child/youth program by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Lower Great Lakes Chapter. "Ask Gilby^®" won a 2009 bronze Telly Award which recognizes the very best local, regional and cable television commercials and programs around the world.
