Volunteer for Read-to-Me Day

Read to Me Day is Wednesday, November 7. The event is a collaboration between The United Way of Summit County and Akron Public Schools. Volunteers are needed to read to students in grades pre-K through 6 and will either be assigned a building or will visit schools where United Way is unable to secure a corporate volunteer. Reading times start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. in half-hour time slots. Ott building employees will be assigned to Voris CLC, and administration building employees will visit Glover CLC. Please indicate your grade preference and time availability; the deadline to sign up as a volunteer is Friday, October 26.
