North cheer team hosts cancer fundraiser

North's Viking cheerleading team will host its 2nd annual Cheer for a Cure competition Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the school's gym. A panel of three judges from the University Cheer Association will score cheer and cheer dance performances by teams from around the area and choose first, second and third place. The 10-member North team won't compete but will perform an exhibition. A $5 entry fee will go toward Cheer for a Cure. Admission for children 5 and under is free.
