Current and former students, staff and friends of Barrett Elementary school are invited to a Remembrance Day Stroll at the school Wednesday, June 6, from 1:30-5:30 p.m.

The day's events will include tours through the school and a presentation in the gym featuring videos, photographs and shared memories.

Barrett, which opened in 1973, is scheduled to close at the end of the school year due to enrollment shifts and district cost-cutting efforts by Akron Public Schools.
