News – Storyboard Swing Into a Brand New
School
It will probably have swings and a slide like most
play structures, but the new playground at the
Robinson Community Learning Center will hold so much more for students who
attend the school.
It
will mean they have a place to play during recess, after many months of
sacrificing the area
for construction.
“Our wonderful teachers have been so creative over the last few months during
recess time,” said principal Linda Green. “But now our students can enjoy a new
playground, and it was well worth the wait.”
Besides a new recess spot, the Robinson Community Learning Center will bring
many needed changes for the children who attend the school. The building will
accommodate 500 students in grades K-6, with new amenities such as art and music
rooms, a multipurpose classroom, a stage, and a larger gym.
Principal Green hopes her new CLC will bring more than just new rooms and play
spaces but also new connection with the community.
“Strong community involvement plays a huge role in the well-being of the
school,” said Green. “When the community and students have something they can
call their own, they take pride in where they learn.”
