In a follow-up to the presentation the fifth-graders gave about electricity the week before, the Business Advisory Council once again worked with fifth-graders to further explore the uses of electricity in transportation by creating fictional companies in their classes that produced electric cars. Their findings and hard work paid off in an event in which their cars were then pitted against each other in a Race of Champions. Superintendent David W. James and Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic were able to attend this event and certified the winning team.
