Kofi Boakye is an 11-year-old sixth-grade student at Miller South - School for the Visual and Performing Arts. He is extremely gifted with an aptitude for music, math and basketball. Marissa Wilson and APS-15 had the pleasure of interviewing Kofi recently during one of his performances at Summit Mall.

Schools - Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts

Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts opened in the fall of 1993, following a parent, student and staff interest survey which indicated community support for a visual and performing arts school. It is named in honor of Akron's first African-American principal, George C. Miller.
