Middle School Hoops Take Off

Middle school basketball got off to a great start on Monday. Great plays were turned by numerous high flying APS middle schoolers! Leading the way was Hyre CLC's Adonis Jordan pouring in 18 points as Hyre CLC beat Innes CLC 57-30. Trevin Carter scored 12, and Tariq Williamson added 11 for Hyre CLC. The ladies at Hyre CLC were also victorious over Innes CLC by a score of 30-9. Leading the way was Mariah Wallace and Dream Cherry with 11 points each. Litchfield beat the defending champs from East CLC in a well-played game by a score of 31-25. George Rozier had 8 points while Jashean Cogburn and Marquell Cook both added 5 points each. In the girls' matchup, Litchfield turned back the Dragons 27-16. Lequasia Johnson had 9 points for Litchfield. East CLC was led by Johnnie Gaiter with 8 points.
