I am very proud to be the principal of Innes Community Learning Center. I began this journey by earning two degrees from the University of Akron. First, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, grades 1-8. This served me well and allowed me to teach grades 3, 4, and 5 for 7 years at Seiberling Elementary in Akron. I then earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration. With this, I became an assistant principal in Akron. I was an assistant principal for 6 years at three different Akron middle schools, finally landing at Innes in 2007. In 2010, I was given the awesome opportunity to be the principal for Innes. I work hard to make sure that all of my students grow academically, socially and emotionally while they are here. I am on a mission to ensure that my students' experiences at Innes are rewarding on all levels.
I am a proud mother of two wonderful sons. I love spending time with them and my husband. We enjoy bike riding, going to parks and doing puzzles together. When I get some time to myself, I love to curl up with a good book and get lost in the story.
