As ambassadors for Akron Public Schools and the LeBron James Wheels for Education program, six Rankin students were flown to Miami this weekend to be present while LeBron James accepted his third MVP award. Superintendent David W. James, Akron After School coordinator Desiree Bolden and Rankin principal Brandi Davis were on hand to accept a 2013 Kia Sorento that James received for the award and which he donated to Akron Public Schools. The children were selected because they had good grades, good attendance, good character and good behavior. Way to represent APS, students!
