The Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) is a private non-profit program whose objective is to
accelerate the spread of STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education innovations across Ohio using a network and systems oriented approach. The OSLN is also placing a priority on providing targeted support to Ohio regions where STEM education is in early stages and requires significant assistance to build the critical mass needed to achieve sustainable progress. Battelle is the overall program manager for the Ohio STEM Learning Network and it is funded through philanthropic cash and in-kind investments provided by private donors including the Gates Foundation and Battelle.
In September 2008, the Akron Partnership, (Akron STEM Hub), for National Inventors Hall of Fame® School ...Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Learning, was awarded an OSLN Hub investment. This Partnership includes Akron Public Schools, City of Akron, National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation, The University of Akron, Greater Akron Chamber and Akron Tomorrow. The National Inventors Hall of Fame® School...Center for STEM Learning is one of the five OSLN STEM platform schools. The Akron STEM Hub collectively commits resources and is accountable for spreading the impact of STEM platform schools and associated research to communities of teachers, students, and families across their region.
