Buchtel High School

The class officers of the Buchtel High School Class of 2000 are looking for our classmates. We are in the process of planning our 10-year reunion. Five years went by so quickly, so we want to get a head start on the year 2010. If you are a member of the Class of 2000, were a teacher at Buchtel from 1996-2000 as well as at Perkins Middle School from 1994-96, have had any affiliation with the Class of 2000 at any time, or know of those who are students and teachers, please contact me at datgrlzblesd05@yahoo.com. We're getting ready to do it big, and we want you to be a part of what we're doing.

Central High School

The Central High School Class of 1968 will hold its 40-year reunion at the brand-new Hibernian Hall, 2000 Brown St., Akron. All Central alumni are welcome. The event will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 7-11 p.m. Admission is $25 per person with drinks at club prices, and parking is available in adjacent lots. On Sunday, August 17, 2008, from 4-8 p.m., alumni will enjoy a performance by Pat Taylor with The Business blues band at The Upper Deck, 357 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron. The reunion reservation deadline is July 16. Central-Hower High School

The Central-Hower High School Classes of 1968 through 2005 will hold a fourth annual All-Class Alumni Dance on Saturday, May 24, 2008, from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. at the St. Joseph Family Center, 610 W. Exchange St. The event will include live smooth jazz by The Deacons at 8:30 p.m. and music by Mo Betta Entertainment, as well as D.J. EZ Money. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event. For tickets, call 2-Live Music at 330/869-2104. For more information, call 330/571-6060. The Central-Hower High School Classes of 1977, 1978 and 1979 now have a Web site designed to expand alumni membership for the upcoming 30-year reunions and to promote the annual alumni dance. East High School

The East High School Class of 1945 will reunite at 11:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Riverside Kitchen Restaurant, 610 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave., Akron. The East High School Class of 1958 will hold its 50-year reunion on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Guy's Party Center, Waterloo Road, Akron. A golf outing and picnic will take place on Friday, August 15, 2008. Ellet High School

The Ellet High School Class of 1988 will hold its 20-year class reunion with a picnic on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the Hyre Park Shelter on Wedgewood Drive from noon-6 p.m. For more information, e-mail elletclassof88@yahoo.com. Garfield High School

The Garfield Alumni Association is looking for Garfield High School graduates. The Kenmore High School Class of 1962 will hold its 50-year reunion in 2012. In order to make the event special, the reunion committee is asking 1962 classmates to help plan the reunion.
