Alumni Connect

  • Sign up with our Alumni Guestbook (which will also register you for our free alumni newsletter) and get a free high school bumper sticker! Display your limited-edition bumper sticker, and show how much you love your alma mater. Register with our online Alumni Connect guestbook, and include your complete mailing address (street address, city, state, zip code). We will send your unique bumper sticker to your home. Buchtel High School
  • The Buchtel High School Class of 1984 will hold a reunion picnic from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Lake Kim Tam Park, 2881 Canton Road, Uniontown, Ohio.   • The class officers of the Buchtel High School Class of 2000 are looking for our classmates. We are in the process of planning our 10-year reunion. Five years went by so quickly, so we want to get a head start on the year 2010. If you are a member of the Class of 2000, were a teacher at Buchtel from 1996-2000 as well as at Perkins Middle School from 1994-96, have had any affiliation with the Class of 2000 at any time, or know of those who are students and teachers, please contact me at datgrlzblesd05@yahoo.com. Central High School

Central-Hower High School
  • The Central-Hower High School Classes of 1977, 1978 and 1979 now have a Web site designed to expand alumni membership for the upcoming 30-year reunions and to promote the annual alumni dance. All alumni are welcome to the site. Visit centralhower.com to register, or call 614/571-6758.

East High School
  • The East High School Class of 1945 will reunite at 11:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Riverside Kitchen Restaurant, 610 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave., Akron.
  • The East High School Class of 1979 is organizing a 30th reunion for Saturday, October 3, 2009. The time and location will be determined at a later date. Ellet High School
Firestone High School
  • The Firestone High School Class of 1994 will hold its 15-year reunion the weekend of September 4, 2009. On Friday, September 4, an informal meet-and-greet will be held at the Ohio Brewing Company (ohiobrewing.com), 222 S. Main St., Akron, at 7 p.m.; and tours of the high school will be available. On Saturday, September 5, a dinner/dance will start at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Family Center (stjosephsfamilycenter.com), 610 W. Exchange St., Akron (dinner at 7:30 p.m.); tickets are $55 per person. On Sunday, September 6, a family picnic will be held at Hardesty Park, 1615 W. Market St., Akron. Attendees can bring a covered dish and any outdoor gaming equipment to share. Garfield High School

  • The Garfield High School Class of 1967 will host a birthday party on July 30, 2009, at Hook, Line & Drinkers in the Portage Lakes area. The event starts at 7 p.m. Invitations will not be mailed, so RSVP to GHS6750@aol.com.

Hower Vocational School

Kenmore High School
  • The Kenmore High School Class of 1962 will hold its 50-year reunion in 2012. In order to make the event special, the reunion committee is asking 1962 classmates to help plan the reunion.   • The Kenmore High School Class of 1984 is planning its 25-year reunion for the weekend of July 31-August 2, 2009. Plans are for an informal Friday night gathering, a formal sit-down dinner and program Saturday night, and a family picnic Sunday afternoon. North High School
  • The North High School alumni association is taking a survey of people who may be willing to attend a multi-class reunion, due to the rising cost of travel. The survey can be found at www.alumniclass.com/northhighoh. The Viking Reunion Event will be held in July 2010 and will be open to all Vikings, undergraduates included. Visit the new alumni classmate site at northhighviking.com.
  • The North High School Class of 1989 will hold its 20-year reunion on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at St. Joseph's Family Center, 610 W. Exchange St., Akron. The event will include DJ Tanqueray, dinner at 7 p.m. (with cash bar starting at 6 p.m.) and dancing. Reservations are $45 per person or $90 per couple before April 30, 2009. After that date, tickets are $50 per person and $100 per couple. All classmates are also invited to an informal free pre-reunion celebration at Stonehedge Place on Friday, July 31, 2009, beginning at 7 p.m. For reservations or more information, e-mail northhighclassof89@gmail.com.
