The program is designed for students who are seeking an Akron Public Schools high school diploma but have not been successful in a traditional high school Small-group direct instruction, individual tutoring, independent study and computer-assisted instruction promote academic success with methods and techniques that are different from the traditional high school. Intensive interventions are used to assist students in passage of the Ohio Graduation Test. Special programming is provided for pregnant and parenting students, students with mental health needs, and students maintaining a drug-free life style.
