AMPLIFY & ELEVATE
Putting POWER
in students' hands

Students play important roles in decision-making for their schools and their communities. Their unique perspective helps provide insight and create solutions for a variety of projects and issues. When they are given opportunities to have a voice in that decision-making, they are more invested in their education, their school and their community.

The APS Student Voices program puts power in the hands of APS students by elevating their voices and placing them in positions of responsibility. Students who participate in Student Voices initiatives learn valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, communications, community service and more.

Students have formal Scholar Voice leadership opportunities starting in middle school.

Community Involvement

You can support student voices as a volunteer! We’re looking for help with:

  • Leadership training and support
  • Hands-on mentoring
  • Special projects for our students (art mural installation, event assistance, workshops, etc.)

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) - Middle School

Students inducted into NJHS have a variety of opportunities to get involved in their school and community. These experiences provide them with skills to successfully serve alongside their peers as leaders in their high schools.
