Image of Middle School City Series Track ChampionshipAPS middle school track held the City Championship last week at CVCA. Due to bleacher construction at Ellet, middle school track was held at CVCA for the season.

Super performances were turned in by numerous student athletes during the season, and the championship day certainly did not disappoint! The Litchfield CLC Argos won their sixth straight boys title under the coaching of Dr. Morgan Greene. Not to be outdone, coach Stacy Myers led the girls team to victory for the Litchfield sweep.

East CLC and Buchtel CLC -- along with Hyre CLC, Jennings CLC and Innes CLC -- proved to be formidable opponents during the season. APS continued the electronic timing initiative under the direction of Chris Carzoo. Middle school track now recognizes records that were hand timed, and now with electronic timing we have new records nearly every year. Our track progress has been terrific the past few seasons. We look forward to our return to Ellet next season where our growth will continue. Sky is the limit for APS middle school track!
