Image of Mission Control VideoThe last mission for fourth-grade reading students in Mission Control (Miller South’s Gifted & Talented program) is a digital film competition. Students were given roughly 16 school-hours to complete their submission (hence 4^2). This project is rooted in the art of storytelling. Students experienced the process of developing a script and collaborating with a team using various technology tools and production equipment.

Five teams randomly picked the following from a “hat”: a genre, a line of dialogue, a character and a prop. They needed to include these elements in a 4-6 minute video/”mini-movie.”
