The Firestone CLC robotics teams have been invited to the VEX World Robotics Tournament for the past four years.
Coached by Dan Spak, Team 7316 X double qualified for WORLDS at the State Championship March 6-7. Firestone competed against 84 other teams and won the Design Award for the State of Ohio, one of the highest awards VEX gives; they also qualified due to their performance in the overall event as a Tournament Semifinalist. This team is now heading to WORLDS in Louisville, Kentucky, at the end of April.
Team 7316X Xcalibur includes Ashley Mink and Jamari Woodall (seniors); Gabe DiFiore, Liam Lee and Andrew Morris (juniors); and Andrew Piunno and Hannah Adams (sophomores).
Firestone again had an excellent season with six total teams, winning a total of 16 awards throughout the season, including two multiple state signature events. Five of the Firestone teams qualified for the State Championships.
