Project GRAD Akron is accepting applications for its 12th annual Bridge to Kindergarten Program for students entering kindergarten in fall 2020 for the Buchtel and East clusters (Crouse, Helen Arnold, Schumacher, Mason, Robinson, David Hill, Seiberling and Barber CLCs). Bridge to Kindergarten is a literacy-based program designed to increase school readiness and parent involvement by preparing children for the transition to kindergarten and supporting them in the first year. The three-week virtual format runs from July 27-August 14. During the school year, the program will continue with family activities and case management. All participating students must be registered for kindergarten in a Buchtel or East Cluster CLC, and each student will be equipped with a Chromebook and internet access. Participation is free, but registration is required (deadline is July 5 or earlier if capacity is reached prior to the deadline date). For more information or to register, email
