A local officer is getting some appreciation after a video of him helping a woman who had car trouble got widely shared online.
Dajha Van Dyke, 24, of Akron, got close to 500 shares in about five hours for the video of Akron Police Officer James Hadbavny helping her on the side of the road.
Van Dyke said she and her sister were driving onto state Route 8 at Glenwood Avenue when the car got a flat tire.
She said they were on the side of the road without the proper tools and with no help. But after about an hour and many vehicles passing them by, she said “Officer J” stopped to help.
