For the third year, Akron Public Schools (APS) National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM High School has won the Congressional App Challenge sponsored by Congressman Tim Ryan (D-13).
Because of COVID, and being in 100% remote learning, this challenge was even tougher this year. Because of the STEM team leadership from Sam Appleby, in their new Innovation Lab and in collaboration with their AP Computer Science learners, the trio of students rose to the challenge and submitted an outstanding app design to the congressman's office.
Take a moment and read the link that tells all about the kids, the app and what is next for these bright APS students. Also, make sure you take a minute and 20 seconds to watch the video they submitted. Kudos to students Lucas Hacker (10th grade), Cameron Neuman (11th grade) and Jared Phavixay (11th grade)!
