Image of Team D State ChampionsQualifying teams from across Ohio participated in the VEX VRC State Championship on April 17, 2021. APS STEM High School sent two teams to the event. Teams 60883C (C) and 60883D (D) made the trip to the Marion County Fairgrounds. Team D "Dougie" finished second in the skills portion of the competition falling just three points shy of a perfect score. Their current score ranks them 33rd in the world.

In the tournament portion, team D formed an alliance with team "Delta Force" from North Union High School in Richwood, Ohio. Their alliance went on to win the tournament and be crowned State Champions. The big win qualifies team D for the Virtual Worlds Championship where they will pursue that perfect skills score and hopefully improve their ranking.

Our thanks to Innovation Lab Coach Sam Appleby, Principal Dina Popa and everyone who coached and supported this effort.
