Fowler Mack emphasized the need for the district to continue monitoring public health data and follow the recommendations of local, state and national health officials.

Recommendations by the Ohio Department of Public Health released earlier today, and others expected July 27, 2021, will provide additional guidance as APS maintains a strong commitment to following guidelines for masks, social distancing, protective equipment and other precautions.

"Ensuring the health and safety of our school community in a COVID world requires constant vigilance and thoughtful planning," said Fowler Mack. "Safety precautions this fall will reflect not only the guidance of health officials but their recommendations for protecting the most vulnerable among us. This thoughtful approach to health and safety also reflects our commitment to equity and excellence."
