Board Recognizes Star Students

Image of Thoimon RajmonThe Akron Public Schools Board of Education honored a dozen students who, last spring, performed flawlessly on Ohio State Tests and/or their ACT.

The ACT test covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading and scientific reasoning. It also offers an optional direct writing test. It is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the United States as well as more than 225 universities outside the U.S.

Board President N.J. Akbar, Ph.D, and Director of Specialty Programs Tamiko Hatcher presented each student with a certificate of recognition at last evening's meeting (9/27/21).
