Image of Hands-On HalloweenWant to show off your favorite Halloween costume, catch a scary good mini-concert featuring Mr. Jeff, or build a car and park it in an indoor theatre while watching Halloween short films? Visit the Akron Children's Museum on Oct. 30 from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for its Hands-On Halloween event, presented by Acme Fresh Market. Children can fill up their passports by visiting and interacting at craft stations such as cookie designing, building fun Home Depot kits, "paint your own Halloween scene" workshop, music, interactive play sessions, photos with Dracula's Daughter, cardboard cars, and much more. Adults will enjoy Halloween canvas painting presented by The Family Room, contributing to a community service project and early holiday shopping in the Monster Shop. The museum will also hold a Pajama Drive and will donate all pajamas to children at Summit County Children Services Winter Wonderland Drive Thru for Foster and Kinship Homes; a special treat is available for donations. General admission tickets are $12/child and $7/adult with a $2 discount for members. Canvas workshop tickets are $15/person. Space is limited, so please purchase your tickets as soon as possible at akronkids.org/halloween. Masks are required for attendees three years or older.
