Image of Bus Driver Appreciation WeekSchool bus drivers not only work hard every day, they carry on their shoulders a tremendous responsibility. They often drive in the dark of early morning, in inclement weather and on roads that are ... well, shall we say? ... challenging.

So, to thank them, quite a few APS community friends got together to say thank you for Bus Driver Appreciation Week, last week.

Donut Day was Monday with goodies provided by our friends at Krispy Kreme.

"Lifesaver" Day was Tuesday, and each driver had a delivery to her/his mailbox of Lifesaver candies.

Wednesday was Neon Day/Cone City Day.

Swenson's showed up Thursday for Swenson's Surprise Lunch, donating 100 galley boys, 50 fries and 50 onion rings. Our friends at Acme donated pop and paper products.

Friday was a Gionino's Pizza Party from the store in North Hill. Thanks to Sam's Club for the cake and cookies.

We want to extend our most sincere thanks to our entire transportation team for their hard work every day.
