
The Schumacher Financial Academy is a monthly 90-minute program designed to help participants manage money and improve finances and credit.
The eight-week-long session starts Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. at Schumacher Community Learning Center, located at 1020 Hartford Ave., and includes some evening classes. The sessions will focus on a variety of topics and include:
- “Tips and Tools to Manage Credit During the COVID-19 Pandemic,” dealing with how to make better credit choices, understand consumer rights, protect your identity and avoid scams;
- “Money Matters: How to Enjoy the Holidays Without Breaking the Bank,” helping participants plan and prepare a budget and spending for the holidays; and
- “Getting Your Credit on Target,” for those who want to buy a house or car or start a business.
