Akron Public Schools is notifying its families this evening of an impending delay tomorrow morning on certain bus routes due to a driver shortage. APS will be using multiple buses now to cover certain routes, which will lead to delays for some students arriving at school.
Families of students on the following bus numbers can expect delays:
466 - Litchfield, Schumacher
447 - STEM Middle, IPS
569 - Litchfield, Findley and IPS
433 - STEM Middle, King and Rimer
467 - Jennings, Harris/Jackson - main campus

Should the district receive further call offs by drivers, it will have to resort to cancelling bus routes.
Akron Public Schools typically has 72 buses running daily covering more than 200 routes across the city for its own students, charter schools and parochial schools.
