Posted on 12/07/2021
Image of BusAkron Public Schools is notifying its families this evening of an impending delay tomorrow morning (Dec. 8) on certain bus routes due to a driver shortage. APS will be using multiple buses now to cover certain routes, which will lead to delays for some students arriving at school.

Families of students on the following buses can expect delays:

#433 - STEM, King CLC
#454 - Summit Christian Academy, Chapel Hill North
#466 - Litchfield CLC, Schumacher CLC
#467 - Jennings CLC, Harris-Jackson CLC (main campus)

Should the district receive further call-offs by drivers, it will have to resort to canceling bus routes.

Akron Public Schools typically has 72 buses running daily covering more than 200 routes across the city for its own students, charter schools and parochial schools.
