Image of No Wait TimeThe American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in more than a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. The Red Cross urges eligible donors to give blood or platelets now to avoid further delays in vital medical treatments.

The Red Cross is reaching out to our community to let us know that COVID testing or vaccinations should not deter us from donating blood.

Can you give blood after getting the COVID-19 vaccine? Yes! There's no wait for donating after getting your COVID-19 vaccination or booster if you feel well and have no symptoms. Come prepared to donate by providing the vaccine manufacturer's name. Learn more: rcblood.org/eligibility
