In honor of Global Youth Service Day, ACCESS Shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness hosted more than 40 Summit County children and adults as part of Youth Impact Day 2022, presented by GPD Group. The children ages 8-12 years learned how to use their time, talent, treasure and ties to make a difference in their communities. The children and adults took part in service projects led by GPD Group including building and planting raised garden beds, creating STEM kits for shelter children, preparing meals, making blankets and more. Each child received a certificate and an invitation to become a Youth Ambassador for ACCESS Shelter. Ambassadors complete one additional service project throughout the summer and will be recognized at the agency's upcoming Annual Breakfast. To learn more or to sponsor an event, visit
