The Marine Corps Cadets of the East CLC JROTC program recently spent four days in the Washington, DC, area touring and learning about the proud traditions and history of the United States Marine Corps and our great country.
The cadets started by visiting Arlington National Cemetery and learning more about one of their own who had paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan, CPL Derek A. Wyatt. The cadets then visited most of the monuments of DC while finishing their trip Friday evening on the oldest Marine Corps Base, 8th & I, watching the performances of the Marine Corps Band and Silent Drill Platoon.
