The Rimer CLC family has always taken attendance very seriously, but last week they took it to a whole new level! An entire day of celebrations on the playground took place to emphasize the importance of BEING AT SCHOOL EACH AND EVERY DAY READY TO LEARN.
Each student at Rimer raised their right hand and took the Attendance Pledge and then signed the pledge personally which reads:
I pledge to take responsibility for my attendance by attending school each day, attending every class and by always being on time.
Students also got to dance with our music teacher Gina Hohman; make posters with our art teacher Colton Brown; play interactive games with our physical education teacher Mark Fisher; and spend time together on a beautiful sunny day practicing friendship with Mrs. Slovisky, our LRC technician. Retired teacher Terri Harrold even came to enjoy the day with us. With so many staff members supporting our students, no wonder they all want to come to school every day!
Students were encouraged to let their adults know that they have taken this pledge and ask them to please help them keep their promises. Although the Rimer attendance rate is nearly 95%, we are always striving to be our 100% personal best!
