At Pfeiffer Elementary School today, one important topic for students in kindergarten was Groundhog Day. What's it for? Why do we observe it? Is there really one groundhog for Pennsylvania and another for Ohio and if so, why is that??? Is he really a he or could he be a she? And our favorite, isn't Spring always about six weeks after February???
But the enthusiasm and smiling faces are really what we love about this day. We have just a few images from Pfeiffer Principal Pharon Hranko taken while Megan Latchic's kindergarten students talked about the sequence of events that Punxsatawny Phil and his millions of fans follow on this celebrated day. Oh, by the way, he did see his shadow.
