One day after Mayor Daniel Horrigan declared it LeBron James Day in Akron, the news of his record-setting scoring of 38,390 points continues to draw attention.
The city of Akron is honoring LeBron James with a
commemorative video that is playing on the Akron Civic Theatre's video screen that faces Lock 3 Park downtown and is situated along King James Way.
"Akron Public Schools and I PROMISE School congratulate LeBron on even more greatness," said Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack. "We are so grateful for our partnership with the LeBron James Family Foundation and the work it does at IPS on behalf of our students."
Within this reporting (News 5) on LeBron's achievement are several I PROMISE School students for whom LeBron is a role model.

If you're downtown, take a moment to stop and see the video screen honoring Akron's own LeBron James.
