"I am so proud of my AWESOME sixth-graders," is how Helen Arnold CLC Principal LaMonica Davis described her feelings after this weekend's events at The University of Akron.
Some of her sixth-graders participated in the Eighth Annual BEST Medicine Engineering Fair Saturday.
Students were given the challenge of creating projects that would make a difference in the lives of students with limited mobility.
Helen Arnold was the only elementary building chosen to participate.
Judging lasted three hours and was based on students' verbal communications and presentations of their projects. Each APS student was awarded a certificate and a monetary gift for all of their hard work.
Principal Davis concluded by saying, "We definitely have some future engineers in the making at Helen. E. Arnold C.L.C."
