About APS 

Akron Public Schools is located in Akron, Ohio, in the northeastern part of the state. It is the fifth largest district in Ohio with approximately 21,000 students enrolled, 51 schools and community learning centers (CLCs), and more than 4,100 employees. Teacher-to-student ratio is 22:1. 

The district features:
  • nine high schools (including four CLCs).
  • nine middle schools (including six CLCs).
  • thirty-one elementary schools (including 25 CLCs).
  • two dedicated preschools.
  • two alternative learning programs.
Community Learning Centers

Community learning centers (CLCs) provide students and Akron area residents with places to learn, gather and connect during, after school and on weekends.
