The Summit County Summer Youth Employment Program is underway and seeking employers, at no cost, to serve as worksites for youth workers. Youth workers will be 14-17 years of age, paid by a county-contracted payroll service, work up to 15 hours weekly, and be required to complete an additional five-hour/week work readiness course. Employment runs from June 10-August 2. Interested employers are encouraged to attend a worksite orientation the week of June 3. Register at
SummitOMJ.org/SYE/Employers. For questions or more information, contact Zach Vierheller at 330.630.6077.
For participants ages 14-17, you must be a Summit County resident; household income must not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level; and employment opportunities will be determined by age, worksite and funding. All potential participants must register online at
SummitOMJ.org/SYE; registration opens April 1. For questions or more information, contact Zach Vierheller at 330.630.6077.
