Image of Color Picture for CourthouseJudge Elinore Marsh Stormer of the Summit County Probate Court commissioned students at Mason CLC to do a large-scale water-color painting of Ohio after recently seeing a smaller version created by the students. The judge said "We need a big one of those for our courtroom," so Anne Lackney, Mason CLC Art Teacher, and her class responded to the call.

Working with Lisa Mansfield, Akron Board of Education member and Community Outreach Specialist for the Summit Probate Court, Anne and the kids created a "huge" hit! The students got to see their piece hanging in the courtroom for the first time on Thursday, March 21. The piece will continue to be displayed there and be a reminder to the community of their hard work and connection to the city.
