Akron-Area Actresses Join Frenemies on 'Mean Girls' Tour Coming to Playhouse Square

The musical "Mean Girls" is coming back to Northeast Ohio, but fans attending the show don't have to wear pink only on Wednesdays.
The show's non-equity, North American tour is landing at Playhouse Square Tuesday and will play eight shows through Nov. 3, which surely calls for wearing pink every day. Isn't that so fetch?
The pink reference comes from one of the most iconic lines in both the smash hit movie and the live musical, in the scene where character Karen, a member of the Plastics clique, tells new girl Cady, "On Wednesdays we wear pink." The fashion rule is a condition of sitting with the reigning trio of vicious popular girls led by Regina George at North Shore High School.
