Matthew York Honored with Arthur S. Holden Science Teacher Award of Excellence

The Martha Holden Jennings Foundation is proud to announce that Matthew York, NIHF STEM @ Robinson CLC Science Teacher, has been selected as a recipient of the Arthur S. Holden Science Teacher Award of Excellence. This prestigious recognition highlights his outstanding teaching, unwavering dedication, and meaningful contributions to science education both in the classroom and the wider community.
Each year, in addition to the Arthur S. Holden Science Teacher of the Year, the Foundation honors five remarkable educators who are making a difference in science education. Being chosen for this award is a testament to the deep respect and admiration Matthew York has earned from peers and students alike.
He will be formally recognized at the Annual Educator Awards Banquet hosted by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation on Thursday, July 24. This special event brings together inspiring educators from across Ohio to celebrate their achievements and collective impact. Details about the banquet will be shared soon.
In recognition of this honor, Matthew York will also receive a $1,000 grant to support a classroom, school, or district project or initiative—further extending the reach of his positive influence.
