Success Has a Path

The Path to High School Success program hosted its third Annual Male Conference at the John S. Knight Center on Tuesday, March 12. Roughly 200 students attended the event to learn about unique strategies surrounding how to overcome barriers. Students in the "Path" program also had the opportunity to network with various leaders within the community. Brandon Ford, Akron City Council District 5, served as the Keynote Speaker while Deante Lavender, Markus McFolling, Romeo Travis and Dr. Devon Carter facilitated break-out sessions for students. Further, a host of community members engaged with students in the program during the Networking Session. Many thanks to Wilma Alexander, Terrance Robinson, Mae Walker, Dreama Whitfield and Dawn Wilson for volunteering their time on the day of the event.
