Dr. Michael Robinson, who assumed the role of superintendent in August 2023, will present the current state of the Akron Public Schools system while reflecting on the district’s 2023-24 accomplishments and challenges. He will also share his vision and plans for the future to ensure the district has systems and structures in place for operational and academic excellence.

Dr. Robinson is now in his second year as superintendent of Akron Public Schools. He has been in education for the past 23 years and boasts a broad range of leadership experience in districts across the country of varying sizes, diversity and socio-economic status. He holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and has served as an adjunct instructor.
