Supt. Joins IPS Family Reunion at the Point

APS Supt. Dr. Michael Robinson has enjoyed his first-ever We Are Family Reunion with scholars from I PROMISE School, their families and the LeBron James Family Foundation at Cedar Point.

 

The superintendent told foundation members and Executive Director Michele Campbell, "Akron Public Schools is grateful for the work and the investment in our scholars by LeBron James and all of those who work hard on behalf of the Family Foundation."

 

A big day is planned at Cedar Point with the park and the food all paid for by the foundation. School at IPS began yesterday as I PROMISE started its seventh year. Now at full capacity, it's serving grades three through eight with a quality and enriching public education infused with LJFF’s We Are Family philosophy.

 

"APS and this community are truly blessed with the work of LeBron James on behalf of our children. He always puts them first," said Supt. Robinson. "And the way the foundation brings Akron together as a team is remarkable. We thank them and their many partners who make this happen, together."
