Showcase Dates and Times:

Garfield CLC:  Fall Fest including The Rooted Ram's Ribbon Cutting & Family Trunk or Treat

October 23, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

The entire community is invited to see our new, incredible Greenhouse Geodesic Dome,“ The Rooted Ram”.  Join us at 4:30 PM for the Rooted Ram ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

Following the dedication, families and children are invited to enjoy a Trick-or-Treat event that begins inside the Rooted Ram. Each family will receive a pumpkin to decorate as they make their way through the building. All are welcome to continue the school tours. You’ll have the chance to explore Garfield’s Career Education Pathways before finishing the evening with a fun Trunk-or-Treat as you exit the building.

East CLC: Fire Up the Future

October 28, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Bus transportation will loop from 3:30 - 5:30 from Seiberling and Barber (Bus 1) and Mason and David Hill (Bus 2).

Come get FIRED UP at the East CLC Showcase on Tuesday, October 28, from 3:30–5:30 PM, and see firsthand why East CLC is a place where students thrive.

Step into the shoes of an East Dragon and experience our award-winning Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) system in action—where a strong culture, structured support, and fun rewards keep students motivated and celebrated. Guests can even earn “Fire Cash” throughout the showcase and shop in our school store for supplies and goodies!

Explore our innovative lab spaces, including a state-of-the-art podcast studio, welding lab, Automotive Service Center, LRC, and life-like bank. Plus get a glimpse into our programs like Band, ROTC, Robotics, and much more!

Don’t miss your chance to win East gear and prizes in our raffle drawing! And to top off the evening, every school-aged child will enjoy a special Halloween treat before heading home.

Ellet CLC:  Fall Community Showcase – A Kaleidoscope of Talent, Partnerships, and Fun!

October 29, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Join us Tuesday, October 29, from 5:00–6:30 PM at Ellet CLC for an evening where fall festivities meet career exploration! Enjoy pumpkins, face painting, and live demonstrations from our own musical talent throughout the district, Akron Fire, the Summit County Sheriff’s Department, Firestone Park Veterinarian Clinic, and more. Explore student pathways in Engineering, Animal Studies, Marketing, and Criminal Justice, while enjoying performances by the Ellet Jazz Band, Madrigals, Windemere Elementary singers, and NJROTC cadets. Celebrate community partnerships and discover the opportunities that make us Ellet Proud!

STEM High School: Innovators of Tomorrow: STEM in Action

October 30, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Parking and bus transportation is available from the David Hill parking lot.

Discover how NIHF STEM High School is preparing the next generation of innovators through specialized pathways in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, and Cybersecurity & Network Defense. This session will explore how our students engage in real-world, project-based learning that connects classroom instruction with meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Learn about our robust robotics programming which challenges students to design, build, and compete with autonomous systems, fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. We’ll also highlight our strategic Advisory Board partnerships with industry professionals and community leaders who help shape curriculum and provide mentorship.

Additionally, the session will highlight our community-sponsored Aquaponics Lab. This learner-led initiative is currently in its early stages of implementation and explores innovative, sustainable methods for producing rubber and other resources.

Our state-of-the-art Esports Lab provides students with hands-on experience in a cutting-edge competitive gaming environment. Beyond gameplay, the lab emphasizes the development of essential soft skills such as collaboration, communication, leadership, and problem-solving.

Buchtel CLC: Harvest Festival Community Showcase

November 20, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Join us for our 13th Annual Buchtel Harvest Festival & Student Showcase! It’s a fantastic night for the Akron community of families and friends to come together and celebrate. Our students have been working hard, and they can't wait to show off the incredible projects and work they've been working on in their classes. You’ll get to tour our state-of-the-art pathway labs and even enjoy hands-on experiences led by the students themselves!

Get ready to be entertained! Our talented jazz band, JROTC, and cheerleaders will all be performing. Enjoy delicious food, great company, and crucial information about the many exciting opportunities in our community and through our College & Career Academies of Akron (CCAA). We will also be sharing student awards, and a special announcement from an Akron native will be made regarding future support for our students. This is a night you won't want to miss! We can't wait to celebrate with you.
