Why College & Career Academies?

Since the launch of CCAA in 2017, Akron Public Schools has seen increased high school graduation rates, increased academic achievement, development of real-world skills as outlined in the Portrait of a Graduate, and an increased number of students graduating with industry certifications and college credits.

Choose APS!

High school students may choose one of 54 pathways for grades 10-12. If you're looking to change your pathway, high school students must open enroll.

Before You Apply

Before you apply, make sure you have the following required enrollment documents:

If your child does not currently attend Akron Public Schools:

Student’s proof of birth
Student’s immunization record
Parent/guardian photo ID
Two proof-of-residency documents for the parent/ guardian (proof of residency is any "official" mail coming to the parent/guardian's address that includes their name, address and a current date).
- The first proof of residence must be one of the following:
  - Utility bill (within 60 days)
  - Lease/rental agreement
  - Home sales agreement
- The second proof of residence can include any of the following:
  - Bank statement
  - Personal bill
  - Postal change of address
  - Current pay stub
  - Local, state or federal document
- **Please note that "junk" mail will not be accepted.
Custody papers (if applicable)
Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Evaluation Team Report (ETR) (if applicable)

If your child is currently an Akron Public Schools student:

Parent/guardian photo ID
